If I were a rapper, I would sample the chorus - or “hook” - of this song.

I’d probably rap about growing up hard in a neighborhood that didn’t give a (bleep). Where life was cheap. And how the streets raised me, and then the streets paid me, but persuaded me to be more than an early grave, G. And how I was too young to die, so I picked up a mic, and went from slinging rock to slinging rhymes. And how you best have your Dre Beats on cuz now I’m spitting like I’ve got rabies, son. And how I’ve got 8 figures offshore, and I’m on tour, screaming girls and encores. And how even though I’m all of these things, all this gold and all these rings, deep down I know that my only home is where the ballers play and the tough n’ low roam. 

If I were a rapper that’s what I’d rap about and then I’d sample that hook. But I’m not a rapper so someone else is going to have to do it.

Just bought tickets to see Foxy Shazam on April 18th on the Sunset Strip (@ The Roxy) - Dudes put on one of the better live shows I’ve seen.
